Financially, this coming year, we sought to increase satisfaction by introducing an all-inclusive tuition structure. Also, with this new structure, we are redefining how we think about and handle generosity. To decrease such things as “donor fatigue” and that feeling of being “nickel and dimed,” Grace Prep has decided to eliminate all auxiliary fundraising.
Moving to an all-inclusive tuition structure has allowed us to meet all the basic needs that your child might have while participating in clubs, athletics, and other events. Because of such, we no longer have a need for booster clubs, class fundraisers, cookie sales, etc… Moving forward, if teams, clubs, or classes want to raise money, they have to do so in a non-transactional way. We desire transformation not transaction. This means that all fundraising endeavors will be, 1) generally off campus, and 2) transformative, in the form of service oriented fundraising. This will help our students begin to understand the difference between seeking a transaction and striving for gospel transformation.
With traditional school fundraising eliminated, Grace Prep has created four giving points, events that we are calling Generosity Opportunities (GO’s). These four opportunities include:
- North Texas Giving Day – September 19, 2019
- Grandparents Celebration – November, 2019
- End of Year Giving – December, 2019
- Grace Prep Annual Gala – February, 2019
Our prayer is that all of our families will “GO” and participate in at least two of these Generosity Opportunities. Your participation in these events will help us sustain our school and provide for our many families.
