Congratulations to Drew Moore who was named NBC5 Wingstop Scholar Athlete for the month of October! Drew, a senior, just completed the cross country season where he finished 39th at the TAPPS 4A State Meet in Waco. In the spring, he’ll again play tennis, hoping to build on last year’s third place finish in state in 4A Doubles with his brother, Luke. Additionally, Drew is heavily involved in activities at school including starting both Mu Alpha Theta (math honor society) and HOSA – Future Health Professionals organization, as well as participating in National Honor Society, Business and Investing club, and serving as Vice-President of the Student Senate. Congratulations to the Grace Prep High School Boys Cross Country team on its 14th place finish at Monday’s TAPPS 4A State Meet held at Cottonwood Creek Golf Course in Waco. Led by freshmen Luke Moore, who finished 33rd, the Lions improved on last year’s placing at the state meet. Also scoring for the Lions were junior Drew Moore (41st), senior Carson Pinon (72nd), sophomore Ben Jones (105th), and freshman Jeremy Burris (114th). Freshman Brendan Chambers (130th) and sophomore Brenden Angus (144th) rounded out the team coached by Melcon Jones and Patrick Leito.
