Living History Night – Students bring history to life through their presentations. Younger students work on group presentations while the older grades make live presentations of those characters as “living wax figures” that come to life.
Science Extravaganza – Students explore the knowledge of God’s marvelous creation and present their findings. The older students present a hypothesis, show the testing of that hypothesis and then draw conclusions based on the evidence.
Christmas Musical Play – Students in the music classes work on and present a grand performance in which the students sing and speak their lines to communicate the true meaning of Christmas.
Grandparents Day – Our students eagerly look forward to the day when grandparents come to Grace Prep. Students make group presentations and then the grandparents join the students in their classroom.
Daddy Daughter Dance – While the girls look beautiful in their pretty dresses and their hair done so wonderfully, the beauty that really lasts is a daughter experiencing a special evening with her dad, grandfather, or uncle. The dinner and dance is like “prom” to these young girls.
Homecoming Week – Homecoming Week is a highlight for our students. While the High School students creatively and elaborately decorate the hallways, the younger students enjoy the homecoming week activities, especially the themed dress up days.
Girls of Grace – On a monthly basis, Grace Prep Ladies or high school girls build into the lives of our 5th and 6th girls. The 5th and 6th grade groups meet separately for a time of fellowship, teaching, and sharing.
Spelling Bee – 5th and 6th grade students who choose to participate work hard to prepare in order to demonstrate their spelling prowess.
6th Grade Overnight Trip – 6th graders journey to the Houston area to explore N.A.S.A.

HIGH SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
Drama Productions – Students have several opportunities through the school year to participate in drama, both through the Drama class and also in supporting roles when not in the class.
Drumline – Students are welcome to participate in our drumline which started in 2015. Experienced and novice drummers alike are welcome to join this group which helps with school spirit at home football games and pep rallies.
Homecoming Week – Students creatively and elaborately decorate the hallways and enjoy the homecoming week activities, including the themed dress up days, which leads to the climactic football game and Homecoming Dance the following night.
TAPPS Academic and Arts Competitions – As a member of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools, our school competes at the state level in Academics, One Act Play, Speech and Drama, and Art contests to earn awards individually as well as for the school.
Senior/Junior Prom – Dressed in elegant attire, our students experience the heights of a formal event that is exciting, fun, and carried out in a healthy Christian atmosphere.
Passing on the Legacy Ceremony – at the end of their junior year, this event ceremoniously marks their transition from juniors to the long sought after role of seniors. Each student is honored with a “legacy baton” and students who purchased a Grace Prep senior ring receive their ring during the ceremony.
High School Mission Trip – In late May, juniors journey to the Appalachian Mountains in Kentucky to work with an almost forgotten people group in the USA, the rural poor. Students get to work in construction, children’s, or community ministries.
Senior Class Trip – During their senior year our students experience a climactic, adventurous trip together. In addition to great tourist activities, the seniors spend a day serving in a ministry while on their trip.
Marine Biology Course Trip– Students enrolled in Marine Biology take a fun, educational trip to Galveston to enhance their study of aquatic life.
Christian Leadership Institute – Selected students attend a dynamic, one-day Leadership Conference held at Dallas Baptist University.
Biblical Worldview Institute – This one day event takes place in Plano and our students join with many other Christian school students to hear world-renowned speakers address significant worldview issues that are both stretching and relevant to today’s teens.
Student Leadership University – Student Leadership University (SLU) is a faith-based, experiential leadership-training program that empowers, enables and equips students to rise to the call of leadership and awaken their potential.
