The kindergarten through second grade primary school at Grace Prep provides the foundation students need to be successful in the elementary and secondary schools. Combining a balance of purposeful classroom instruction two days a week and targeted practice and re-teaching in the satellite classroom at home, our primary students achieve a high level of success in learning. These primary years require more hands-on involvement from parents than any subsequent years at Grace Prep. Parents spend time each Monday, Wednesday and Friday reviewing and practicing concepts taught in the central classroom, as well as re-teaching as necessary. Students benefit from the one-on-one personal instruction from their parents to solidify the concepts they are learning in the classroom. This model facilitates the highest level of student learning with the benefit of a Christ-honoring environment.
Grace Prep’s teachers bring a wealth of experience and a love of teaching to the classroom as they strive to create an environment that encourages a love for learning and focuses on academic and spiritual growth. Purposeful teaching encourages academic excellence, critical thinking, and the imparting of a biblical worldview. And in the midst of all that, we manage to have fun as well! Our primary students enjoy many opportunities to showcase their work, whether it be at our Science Extravaganza in the fall or the History Fair in the spring. Our primary electives offer students the opportunity to expand their learning and develop friendships with classmates. We believe you’ll find Grace Prep to be a very special place!
