The 8th grade took a trip to Dallas on Monday to visit the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum as well as the 6th Floor Museum.

At the Presidential Library the students had the opportunity to explore the 9/11 memorial while learning details of the tragic event that occurred just before they were born. A highlight of the museum was the replica of the oval office as it was found when President Bush was in office.

Although the storm knocked out power at the 6th Floor Museum, the students were still able to see the exes in the road where President Kennedy was shot while riding in his motorcade through Dealey Plaza.
