The three Grace Prep high school basketball teams will host Dallas Parish Episcopal tonight beginning with the JV boys at 4:30 p.m. Varsity girls will follow at 6:00 p.m., and the varsity boys will tip at 7:45 p.m. This evening’s games are being sponsored by American National Bank. Senior volleyball player Sage Post signed her Letter of Intent on Wednesday to continue her athletics career at the collegiate level. Post will attend Lubbock Christian University where she will pursue a biology degree with plans to attend medical school. LCU is an NCAA Division II member of the Lone Star Conference. A four-year GPA volleyball letterwinner, Post earned numerous honors this season including: TAPPS 4A All-State First Team, 4A All-Tournament Team, Academic All-State, District 3 MVP, and District 3 First Team. Congratulations to Sage and her family!
Grace Prep is proud to announce that seniors Samuel Prather and Harrison Young have been named National Merit Semifinalists. In order to qualify for this honor, a student’s PSAT score from their junior year must be in the top 1% of all scores in the nation. To qualify for National Merit scholarships, Sam and Harrison will need to advance to Finalist status by completing steps lined out by the National Merit program. They will be notified of their Finalist status next spring. We are also proud to announce that Drew Moore and Bradley Scott have qualified as National Merit Commended Scholars. These young men qualified for this honor earning a PSAT score that ranked them in the top 2.2%. Congratulations to these young men and their families!

Come cheer the Lady Lion Volleyball team on as they play Lubbock Trinity Christian on Thursday, November 7 at 12:30 a.m. at Waco University High School. University High School is located at 3201 South New Road, Waco, 76706. Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for students. No GPA passes will be accepted. The other side of the 4A bracket, featuring Geneva School of Boerne and Schertz John Paul II, will start Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. The winners of Thursday’s Final Four matches will meet in Friday’s 10:00 a.m. championship bout at University High School. Per TAPPS rules, please leave your animals, body paint and air horns at home. Signs and banners can be held, but not be attached to the facility.
