Dr. Marc Evans
Head of School
Dean of Academics

ext. 107

Dr. Evans joined our Grace Prep team in August of 2012. Dr. Evans’ diverse professional background uniquely qualifies him to be the one charged with the responsibility of leading Grace Prep in continued excellence as the premiere University Model School.

Dr. Evans holds a doctorate in Higher Education Administration from the University of North Texas, an MS in education from Slippery Rock University, and a BA in administrative studies from the University of California at Riverside. As we continue to advance academically and strive for excellence in all areas of instruction, changes that are beneficial to both instructional delivery and technology will continue to be of utmost importance. As our teachers embrace professional growth and development, our Grace Prep families are assured that their children are receiving the best Christ-centered education they can receive.

Dr. Evans firmly believes that excellence begins in the home, continues through a stable church home, and is confirmed within the walls of our Academy. As such, he is committed to advancing our reach within the community so that all of us who know and love Grace Prep can share that experience with other families that the Lord calls to our hallways. Additionally, he will continue to stress strong business management and integrity in all of our processes as such concentrations are vital to the growth and success of our school.

Dr. Evans is married to Tammy, who teaches and coaches within the Kennedale Independent School District. His oldest son Brad is married to Shelly; they are blessed with two daughters – Nora and Sloan. Brad serves as the manager of advertising and promotions for Bass Performance Hall and McDavid Studios in Fort Worth. His second son Brett is a successful contractor in Oklahoma. His daughter Taylor teaches 5th grade within the Fort Worth ISD, and his son Mason is an airman within the US Air Force.

Over the last 30 years, Dr. Evans has been a dorm director, college admissions counselor, a college assistant and head coach, a college department chairman, college professor, college advisor, pre-school owner, business sales associate, athletics compliance director, and Head of School.

“I truly believe that all my experiences have uniquely prepared me to lead Grace Prep to even greater heights. But positive growth in a UMS school is most dependent on strong parental involvement in conjunction with loving personnel and teachers who are bright, engaged, and above all, committed to the Lord in all they say and do when it comes to our kids. Individually we contribute, but together we transform.”

“What a blessing it is to educate young people while strengthening their spiritual foundation, and relationship with the Lord, in a community of fellow believers.   I love the fact that we partner with parents, as they fulfill their roles as primary faith trainers for their children.  God continues to bless us with a school family who shares a passion for Christian education.  Together, we are creating a generation of college-worthy, character witnesses for Christ. Chris’ diverse professional background includes serving as an administrator in both public and privates schools as well as pastoring and planting local churches.Chris holds a Masters Degree from the University of Louisville and is an ordained minister.

Chris’ philosophy of education begins in the home. Chris holds to the biblical principle that dad and mom are the first and foremost teachers, disciple makers, and magistrates in the life of their child(ren). Chris believes that University Model Schools best advance this philosophy as they give time and authority back to parents so that they can “train up their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord” (Eph 6:4).

Chris is married to Allyson and they have two children; Scarlett and Malachi.

“What I appreciate most about Grace Prep is that it is a place where I can share and live out my faith. And this is important because I’ve learned that children have never been very good at listening to adults, but they have never failed to imitate them.”
