The Annual Gala
The Annual Gala is the primary fundraiser for the year. Tuition alone does not cover the cost of educating our students at GPA. In other words, gifts given at the Gala, on top of tuition, enable Grace Prep to balance the school budget, making up for the shortfall between the actual cost of education and the cost of tuition. The Gala allows us to hold tuition increases to a minimum, therefore keeping the cost affordable for most families.
Our theme for the 2010-11 Gala was "Joy in the Journey: Celebrating God's Faithfulness." The evening was true to its theme as GPA parents, alumni, and friends celebrated the privilege and blessing it is to be a part of the GPA family. Mr. Ryan Dobson, son of Dr. James Dobson of Focus on the Family, addressed those in attendance by encouraging us to press on both spiritually and financially as we invest in the next generation of students. As he had the opportunity to visit with our secondary students during Revolution on the Friday prior to the Gala, he shared how he was impressed by the "difference" in our children. We are truly raising up character witnesses for Christ!
Because of the incredible generosity of our families, we were able to raise nearly $72,000 at this wonderful event to cover the cost of the renovation of our upstairs open area. This remodeling project will give our school three new, large classrooms with collapsible, sound proof walls and the flexibility to still use the upstairs for large gatherings. The most rewarding aspect of this project will be the enclosed classroom space that will allow teachers to teach without competing for their students’ attention because of surrounding noise from other classes. Additionally, we have plans to create a new life science lab! For years, GPA has been forced to work around scheduling conflicts because we only have one science lab. This new specialized classroom will enhance our entire science department and your child’s learning.

The Annual Auction
The Auction is an annual dinner, silent auction, and live auction. The purpose of the Auction is to raise money to cover the cost of purchasing a much-needed specific item or items useful for enhancing the education experience at Grace Prep.
Shuttle buses, computer lab equipment, digital overheads, projectors, wall screens for classrooms, accounting software, a beautiful playground, and an alarm and intercom system to ensure our students' safety as well as protect our school's physical assets are just a few of the items we have been able to purchase with funds raised over the last five years. The 2011-2012 school year marked the sixth annual auction/dinner, at which we raised over $48,000!
